01 - BACKGROUND
A digital solution for efficient and transparent community-based water service management.
AIRREN is a digital application designed to support community-managed PAMS (Perusahaan Air Minum Swadaya Masyarakat) in managing clean water services more effectively and transparently. The application focuses on improving operational productivity while ensuring efficient and accountable water service management.
To support daily operations, AIRREN provides an integrated management system that centralizes customer data, water usage records, billing, and payment management in a single platform. The system helps PAMS administrators manage operational activities accurately and systematically.
Through the AIRREN dashboard, managers can monitor water consumption, manage customer and billing data, and track financial transactions in real time. This application enhances operational efficiency, improves data accuracy, and promotes transparency in community-based water service management.
02 - THE BRIEF
Enhancing AIRREN through feature adjustments and new designs to improve PAMS subscription, billing, and communication workflows.
From this brief, I worked on enhancing the existing AIRREN application by adjusting existing features and adding new functionalities to support community-based PAMS operations more effectively and transparently.
Key improvements included the implementation of a demo access feature that allows users to explore the mobile application without authentication, ensuring all mobile menus are accessible with adjusted functionality for demo purposes. I also designed a centralized Contact Us page to handle all “under construction” features, including direct access to WhatsApp communication with the AIRREN administrator.
Additional enhancements focused on subscription and billing management, including monthly subscription charges per customer, subscription price notifications for PAMS based on Super Admin settings, and the ability to share water billing notes directly to WhatsApp in image format (PNG/JPG). These updates were designed to improve usability, communication efficiency, and transparency in billing processes.
Overall, these feature and design enhancements improved user onboarding, clarified subscription information, streamlined billing communication, and strengthened transparency and efficiency in AIRREN’s PAMS management system.

Discovery & Research
Based on the acceptance requirements provided by the business analyst, I conducted research to understand business goals, user needs, and system constraints. This research became the foundation for defining features, user flows, and design decisions to support the development of the application.

Design & Prototyping
Based on research findings, user interfaces were designed to address user needs and business requirements. Interactive prototypes were created to visualize user flows, validate features, and test usability, ensuring the design was ready for development and aligned with project goals.

Development & Launch
After the initial development and launch, further improvements were made to address bugs, refine features, and enhance system stability based on testing and user feedback, ensuring the application met quality and performance standards.
